I am Hausa
A proud Hausa
My heritage gives me the privilege
For which I am who I am
You may know me as something else
But that is just your opinion
Listen, let me tell you about myself
My origin is rooted in the travels of the great Bayajjida
The traveller from Asia
As a traveller, he came to settle in the northern regions
South of the vast Sahara desert
My people are farmers and hunters
I am a proud tiller of the soil
Animals skip at my appearance
Yes, I am a descendant of great hunters
You may have eaten some of my delicacies
Like masa, tuo masara, kunu ngida
But there is more you are yet to taste
Like gotte, pette, tuo shinkafa, kunu shinkafa
And lots more!

Something Interesting Worth Sharing
Background
As a measure to maintain social distancing, commercial cars have been instructed to take just two to three people on a normal sitting arrangements which take upto three to four people respectively.
Story
Boarding a commercial vehicle which normally took maximum three people on a sitting row this morning, there was left three spaces to be filled (under the new circumstances of COVID 19)
Some four people came, board the car and actually sat in it.
If they were to take, it means there will be a compromise of just one person.
But the conductor and the driver refused, and instead, let go of the four potential passengers (due to COVID 19).
The issue is, the driver and his conductor could have easily compromised with the one potential passenger. But they refused and actually let go of four. This is very interesting because, these kinds of compromise were very frequent and actually done almost always in commercial vehicles in the country prior to COVID 19.My Take
This attitude gives me a lot of hope for the change in attitude among Ghanaians.
There only need to be a convincing reason. We can achieve a lot as a people.
There’s hope for the continent of Africa!
